Episode #1208 - The Language of Flowers

Join me and guest, Linda Lucchesi, as we discuss Vanessa Diffenbaugh’s “The Language of Flowers” while preparing meal to help Victor Jones overcome her troubled past on “Dinner and a Book.”

The Victorian language of flowers was used to convey romantic expressions:  honeysuckle for devotion, asters for patience and red roses for love.  But for Victoria Jones, the language of flowers has been more useful in communicating grief, mistrust and solitude.  After a childhood spent in the foster-care system, she Is unable to get close to anybody, and her only connection to the world is through flowers and their meanings.  Let’s find out more with my guest, Linda Lucchesi as we discuss Vanessa Diffenbaugh’s “The Language of Flowers.”
