Dinner & A Book - The Last Time They Met

 Linda Fallon encounters her former love, Thomas Janes, at a literary festival where both have been invited to give readings from their work.  It’s been years since their paths have crossed, and in that time Thomas has become a kind of literary legend.  For most of the past decade he has remained in seclusion following a devastating loss.  Previously Thomas had pursued Linda passionately, but their affair was disastrous.

 This story travels back into their past.  In Africa, when Linda and Thomas were twenty-seven and in Massachusetts, when they were in high school, the novel re-creates their love at its pinnacle with a disastrous effect.  Moving backward through time, the book traces the shocking resonance a single choice, a single word can have over the course of a lifetime.  The final page of the novel reveals a shocking resolution.

Martin Foundation which funds projects and agencies in the Michiana communities as well as nation-wide. She loves to travel around the world and enjoys cooking for her family and friends.
