Jared Bernstein joined the Economic Policy Institute in 1992 where he directs the Institute's living standards programs. He has also published extensively in popular and academic venues, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Philadelphia Enquirer, and the American Prospect. He is a contributor to the CNBC Financial News Network, blogs regularly for TPMCafe.com, and produces the new podcast, "Econocorner."
The panelists will address such issues as the Bear Stearns collapse; recession - fact or fiction; sales forecasts of big ticket items; $ 4 gallon gasoline prices; credit and the Fed; and how bad will things get before they get better.
This special edition of ECONOMIC OUTLOOK is a local companion program to the Economic Forecasting Summit held on March 27 at the Century Center in South Bend.
