    Education Counts Michiana features four educational initiatives showcasing community engagement. Warsaw Community Schools are working on social emotional learning for students and teachers. The public was invited to watch three teams of architecture students participate in a two day mural-drawing event presented by Scenographia at the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture. Maker spaces are on the rise and a visit to Make South Bend explores the possibility of design. Michigan students are filling the skills gap by learning CNC skills in the classroom and on the job.

The AirZoo Museum in Kalamazoo is teaching students about science and history in its multi-disciplinary approach with hands-on education and restoration.
