WNIT Public Television is proud to present Green Expo 2009 - a one-day special event to be held on Thursday, April 30th at the Century Center in South Bend, Indiana.
The goal of Green Expo is to create an opportunity to come together to Explore, Educate, and Inspire Green Living, Sustainable Energy and more Viable Lifestyles by gathering environmentally friendly services & suppliers in one place at one time to exchange the latest green information.

All exhibits are open to the public from 11:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., with free admission to the Exhibit Hall at the Century Center.

The Keynote Luncheon is from noon until 1:30 p.m., and cost is $25 per person or $180 for a table seating 8. The Keynote Address will be presented by Diane Bunse, Environmental Specialist at Herman Miller, Inc.

Learn To Be Green

The four Green Workshops will feature guest speakers and panel discussions with time for audience questions. There are two sessions: 1:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Workshop topics include: The Business of Sustainability; Cool Cities & Towns; Green Building Primer; The Legal Side of Green. Among the featured speakers will be representatives from the cities of Elkhart, Mishawaka, South Bend, Carmel, and Benton Harbor, MI.

Relax & Have Some Fun

A very special Reception is planned from 4:30pm until 7pm, and will feature a New Show Preview of WNIT's locally produced documentary, Farm Fresh To You - A Way of Life and Health. This is a story that celebrates the resources we have right here in our own backyard, visiting various farms, ranches and wineries, and examining the benefits of fresh locally grown produce and meats.
