About The Host:

There's a lot more to Gary Sieber than meets the eye. Best known for weather poetry on Saturday morning, Gary is also Program Director and Operations Manager for Newsradio 1340 WTRC in Elkhart , and serves as host of the new program “Michiana Speaks” on WNIT public television.

Gary served as Director of News and Public Affairs at WNDU-TV from 1985-1991.  He has worked at Channel 16 since 1980.  Sieber supervised the education programs offered through WNDU for the University of Notre Dame for many years, and still teaches Broadcast Journalism specializing in News Writing, Ethics, and Law as an Adjunct Instructor in Film, Television, and Theatre at Notre Dame.
In addition, Sieber has managed FCC regulatory and First Amendment legal matters for WNDU, and has twice won finalist awards from the prestigious New York Festivals for his documentary writing.  Sieber also serves in an advisory capacity with St. Joseph County ’s Law/Media Committee established by the local chapter of the American Bar Association.

Currently, Gary co-anchors "NewsCenter 16 Saturday Morning” and fills in as needed for Mike Hoffman, Cindi Clawson, and Gordy Young.

Gary and Linda Sieber have two children: Joseph and Miranda. Sieber is an admitted golf nut. In fact, he recently played 13 golf courses in 7 days on a trip to Scotland , nearly hitting the Lord of Fife with a stray drive.  Fore!
