April 6, 2006
This episode of Open Studio showcased Pulaski County, Indiana. We talked with an artist from Star City, two women who are doing their part with the dog population, the Riparain Farms Equestrian Centre and a writer who puts her experiences at the Tippecanoe River into words. We wrap the show up with a look at Kostas Restaurant located in Winamac off of US Highway 35.

Christine Smith and Karen Ringen
These two women are trying to keep the dog population down in their own personal way. Chris has been educating the public on how important it is to spay and neuter your pets. She hopes with her message of spaying and neutering it will help with the overpopulation of dogs in the area. Karen does her part by training dogs to help them get new homes through adoption. They brought along Junior and Bodie two Labrador dogs looking for a new family to love.

Experience Michiana
Each week the producers find something to see or do in Michiana proving there are a lot of things to do locally. This time Kelsy headed back to his roots. He went to a dairy farm in Star City, but this wasn't any ordinary dairy farm. It was the first robotic dairy farm in Indiana. Let’s see what he learned out on the farm.

Renata Crissinger
Riparain Farms Equestrian Centre
Renata was on the program to talk about Riparain Farms in Winamac. It is a great place to learn how to ride horses and even train them for shows. There are summer camps for both kids and adults, horse shows to compete in or watch and you can even find that certain horse you've been looking for. Riparain Farms Equestrian Centre

Southern Gal Goes North
Dana writes about things that happen in every day life. She started her own blog page about a year ago and it became a great way to get her writings out for the public to see. Dana spends her summers on the Tippecanoe River with her family and it is one of the things that inspires her to write. She read four of her poems, all inspired with nature.
