  This week on Education Counts Michiana, we've found four more initiatives that are working towards education and building community. The Bridge Academy in Benton Harbor is an alternative school in job training partnership with Kinexus. Check out the Three Mirrors project at the Center for the Homeless and how guests are creating art from upcycled materials. The project works with local merchants to keep materials out of the landfill and provides jobs and education for guests. Meet Nicholas Buamah, a new author who is sharing his vocabulary with other students through books. At the Center for Homeless in South Bend and the Three Mirrors Project, guests are gaining the skills not only to create these unique works of art, but also learning how to help break the cycle of homelessness.
