This week we created a themed episode featuring how nature is being used to teach. Future teachers at Indiana University South Bend learn at Prairie winds Nature Farm how to take the class outside the classroom and engage with nature. The Junior Indiana Master Naturalist Course helps homeschool students appreciate history and the great outdoors. Smaller kids get hands on nature in a pond study at Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve. The Wild School at Luna Hill Farm lets students figure out solutions using raw materials found in nature. We also highlight online and on air educational resources for distance learning available for parents, students and teachers.
