What is a Provisional Ballot? | The Voting Minute

Description

What is a provisional ballot, and how does it protect your right to vote while maintaining election integrity?

On The Voting Minute, we explain what happens when an eligibility question—such as a missing photo ID or an unresolved registration issue—prevents a voter from casting a regular ballot on Election Day. Learn how provisional ballots are kept secure, what documentation is required, and why election night results are not official until every legal ballot is counted.
