  La Casa de Amistad in South Bend is doing its part to provide students with some of the extra help they may need. Primarily focused on ELL students, Brilla is an after school program where kids can get the one-on-one attention they need to make sure they succeed in their daily school lives.

  Students at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor are able to get hands on training and earn a wage while still going to school. The Whirlpool Earn and Learn program matches up those students with local business partners for a summer internship that can even lead to future employment.
