Education Counts Michiana - La Porte County Public Library Isamu Noguchi Art Competition

All La Porte County teens between the ages of 14-18 were invited to help design the art work for the La Porte County Public Library’s 2024 summer reading program. The theme is “Summer Under the Stars” and takse inspiration from the work of sculptor and designer, Isamu Noguchi. Winning artwork will be featured on limited-edition items to promote the 2024 summer reading program. The art was unveiled at a recent artist reception and was judged on connection to the category, aesthetics, creativity and craftsmanship.
