This magazine-style program, named for the long-running publication Yankee magazine, offers viewers an insider's view of the cities, countryside locales and unique attractions of New England. Hosted by Richard Wiese and Amy Traverso, the series also features recipes and local flavors that make up the region's food and dining scene. Some segments include a clambake near Acadia National Park; a cruise on the J. & E. Riggin along the Maine coast; gingerbread cottages on Martha's Vineyard; the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass.; and a horse-drawn sleigh ride in Jackson, N.H.
