LPCPL Exchange
Oftentimes, a major hurdle for teens and even adults looking to learn some new skills is the cost. At the La Porte County Public Library Exchange, equipment like 3-D printers and sewing machines can be used free of charge. The hope is the space will be a place where generations can exchange ideas and take away something they can use in the future.

Let\'s Read Together Challenge
There are plenty of ways to get young children to read. To encourage kids to read more, the Michigan Learning Channel has started the Let's Read Together Challenge. To complete the challenge, classes and individuals need to read for 1000 minutes.

For students at Elkhart High School, a partnership with Lake City Bank has led to the building of a bank branch right inside the school building. Students don't just learn about finance, some even get first hand experience working as interns.
