Dorrine Henderson moved to South Bend in 2007. After spending her life caring for others, she decided to go back to school, and registered for classes at Ivy Tech Community College. While there, she heard about the Getting Ahead class offered at Bridges Out of Poverty. The Getting Ahead curriculum puts tools in the hands of people in poverty to make a difference in their own lives.
