Volunteers learn about conservation through hands on training with the Youth Service Corps team at Indiana Dunes National Park. Less than 40 miles east of the Chicago metro, a group of 11 young leaders has committed to the preservation of Indiana Dunes National Park. The leaders are supported by a nationwide network of service corps programs that contribute tens of thousands of service hours to maintaining landscapes and improving visitor experience in dozens of parks. All members dedicated to conserving this national park will receive on-the-job training, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and experience a range of public lands career paths through their participation in the service corps program.
