Families can learn about nature and earn badges and pins through a program called Hoosier Quest. Students explore the process of manufacturing and meet potential employers through Goshen's Virtual Manufacturing Day. Joint Educational Services in Special Education (J.E.S.S.E) is a program ensuring students with special needs have resources for success in school.

Drew Shearin was a very talented teen. He mastered multiple instruments, served as drum major for the Knox Redskin Brigade and reached the status of an award-winning composer teen, all by the age of 17. Unfortunately he was taken from us in the fall of 2011. However that hasn't stopped him from gifting us with the wonderful sounds of music. Drew's Gift of Music is an organization that provides instruments and training to rising musicians. This is a legacy that Drew started before his passing, because he wasn't just gifted, he was a gift giver.

Little Buck's Bookmobile (with the help of volunteers), is bringing books to neighborhoods throughout the Buchanan area. They want to keep students reading throughout the summer to avoid the slump. Though you may think that this mobile book service is catered strictly to younger kids, they also have options for teens as well. They understand that not everyone has means to good books, so they are helping by bringing the library to them.
