Blue Spotted Slamander
While out exploring nature you can come across a lot of interesting things. Some of them are harder to find than others. Evie found a Blue Spotted Salamander in her garden. What are some of it's unique characteristics? What do they do during the winter? Join Evie to find out more.

There's Goats in the Woods!

Some parks have taken a different approach to controlling the understory growth in their woods, Goats! Evie found a group of goats working at T.K. Lawless park in Cass County Michigan, and shared how it’s a helpful way to try and knock down overgrown areas, especially ones overgrown with invasive species.

Beavers
Beavers have been busy along the Elkhart River. We'll look for signs of their activity at River Preserve County Park with Phelicia Jozwiak

What's This? Oh Deer, It's Droppings!
One way we can tell what wildlife has been in an area is through their droppings. A viewer sent in a picture of droppings he found along a creek that looked like pinecones. They are actually deer droppings. We’ll find out why the droppings may be different in different seasons.

Canada Geese
Canada geese spend the winter with us. Why don’t they migrate? Evie will explain why these large water foul stay home. She’ll also explain why they often fly in a V formation. There’s so much to learn about these fascinating birds.
