The WNIT Stations

WNIT provides services through broadcast television delivered through a home antenna, cable television, or satellite television, and on-demand video and educational resources for children, parents and teachers through the internet.

Broadcast Television

  • WNIT-HD, "Michiana PBS" (broadcast channel 34.1) is your primary channel home of all the national PBS program series and features, “PBS Kids” early childhood educational curriculum, local programs of impact, and a rich variety of other cultural and self-improvement programs from other public media producers.
  • WNIT "IN Focus," (broadcast channel 34.2) is a complementary channel of public media fare to give you more choices and options. Added variety and a greater emphasis on how-to and leisure activities such as cooking, painting, travel and home remodeling. The channel also features programs from the “Indiana Channel.”

On the Internet

  • WNIT On-Demand - playback of popular local programs when you want to watch
  • pbs.org - source for episodes of your favorite PBS programs
  • pbskids.org – the safe place for children to watch programs, practice what they have learned and find instructional games, all for free.
  • pbsparents.org – your place as a parent, grandparent, or caregiver to go to learn about the wealth of educational resources available to you, free, to help your youngster learn and prosper.
  • pbslearningmedia.org – an incredible library of tens of thousands of videos to support educational efforts in the classroom.
