Civil Air Patrol
Students at John Adams High School in South Bend have the chance to join the school's Civil Air Patrol. They get to learn more about aeronautics and even have the chance to fly small aircrafts as the first steps to a potential career.

SBMA: Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards
The Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards have been around for over 90 years, providing teens with the opportunity to be seen and compete creatively. The students work is then judged based on freedom of expression, a blind adjudication process, and work criteria based on originality, technical proficiency, and emergence of personal voice. They want teens to feel empowered through their artistic expression.

WSMK/WNIL Radio Broadcasting Internships
WSMK and its' sister station WNIL are radio stations based out of Niles, Michigan that provide the Michiana region with Adult Contemporary music, Oldies, as well as the opportunity to advertise goods and equipment from local residents on their show Swap Shop. However, there is much more to running a radio station than just the on-air qualities. They welcome interns into their doors to learn about their overall functions of a radio station, while also giving them the opportunity to express their creative voice.

Passport Pals and STEAM Squad
To provide additional fun and interactive activities, the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library launched a set of programs called Passport Pals and STEAM Squad. Through these programs kids will get the chance to explore other countries and do some hands on projects without leaving their houses.

Gentlemen and Scholars has been on a mission to empower the youth in the Michiana area for years. They do this through their Spelling Bee Explosions. Though this year's spelling bee will be seen virtually, the feelings are all the same. With their fourth annual Spelling Bee Explosion they are extending that mission by teaching students confidence and comfortability through public speaking.

B.E.A.R. Reading Center
The B.E.A.R Dyslexia Center is a non-profit that focuses on the proper education of children. They understand that some children need a bit more focused learning, so they work to ensure that they are up to speed with the rest of their classmates. However with COVID, there are some changes to the methods that they will use to tutor these children.

Slicer Champions Mentoring Program
All students need the consistent support of adults in their lives, but not every student has that. Slicer Champions is a mentoring program in La Porte that pairs students with adult mentors to help them set goals, problem solve and celebrate successes.

PBS Teacher Planning Kits
Teachers have found themselves in a position they may be unfamiliar with. To make sure teachers have a wide variety of resources at their disposal, PBS created a series of Planning Kits to cover ages from early childhood to high school. We take a look at how teachers will be able to use these to reach every one of their students.

Black Pine Internships
The Exotic Animal Care Internship program that gives college students an immersive learning experience into the care taken at a wild life sanctuary. Black Pine Animal Park is home to over 100 exotic animals representing 55 different species. They believe that interns are what keeps the successful, but also promise students a worthwhile experience.
