On Thursday, April 21st Sorella Boutique and several other area small businesses will be putting on a "Night of Style" fashion show at the Chicory Event Center. Emorja Roberson is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Notre Dame and he has put together a concert called "BE-SPOKEN". We are thankful for organizations that are helping to find homes and care for our furry friends. Xena is a wonderful Mastiff/mix that's looking for a home.

    On Thursday, April 21st Sorella Boutique and several other area small businesses will be putting on a "Night of Style" fashion show at the Chicory Event Center. Kelly talked with the owner of Sorella Boutique Jill Hurst about the event and how it will benefit the Blue Star Mothers Group of St Joe Valley. Miki Young will share what the Blue Star Mothers group is and how they support veterans and current soldiers.

    Emorja Roberson is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Notre Dame and he has put together a concert called "BE-SPOKEN". Dave had a chance to talk to him on stage at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center to find out more about what BE-SPOKEN is. It explores the stories of Black people in America through spoken word, gospel, and hip-hop. The featured artists are Chavis T Gill, Anthony 'Tony' Walker, Donishisa Ballard, and 2021 Grammy winner Ledisi! Guest artists are supported throughout the evening by a rotating lineup of a community choir, guest and backup singers, a six-piece band, and a string quartet.

    Xena is a wonderful Mastiff/mix that's looking for a home. Rob LaRoy is the Executive Director of the Elkhart County Humane Society and he introduced us to Xena, who is one of many animals they are helping to find a new home. Right now adoption fees are reduced or free for some of the furry friends.
