Golf is a great way to get out and exercise and enjoy the summer while having plenty of space around you. Blackthorn’s course is in great shape and offers an exciting time on the course. And if you want to see some of the best play the course they are also looking for volunteers for the Symetra Tour event that is happening September 4th – 6th. There’s a great program in Elkhart called “Seed to Feed” where a garden and greenhouse help to meet the needs of their community through education, fresh produce, and giving to the food bank. There is a beautiful rose garden in the east side of Leeper Park and it was brought back to life by Larry Clifford and a group of volunteers. Kelly finds out how this garden has been around since 1906 and it started being resurrected after Larry visited it during the Leeper Park Art Fair. It’s a beautiful part of living history.
