If you’re looking for a unique experience then you should head up to Niles for Apothica Teas Infusions & Frivolity. Kelly made the trip and met Laura Hollister who shared the inspiration behind her store and treated Kelly to a spot of tea. There are many uniquely flavored teas to choose from, and you could schedule a private tea for you and your group.

There is an exhibition currently on display at the South Bend Museum of Art that celebrates both the work and impact of local artist Gundega Penikis. Courtney had a chance to meet Gundega and find out about why she got into pottery and how she taught in the area for over 40 years. Courtney also talked with Mark Rospenda to find out why it was important for the South Bend Museum of Art to have this exhibition and how Gundega’s former students are represented too in this exhibition.

So do you have a sweet tooth? If so you need to head to Culver. MJ’s Sweet Tooth has something for every taste. MJ the owner showed Kelsy around and shared why she wants her store to be a memory and tradition with young and old alike. There are so many choices from current candies to blasts from the past. And if you’d rather feed your sweet tooth with a desert instead of some candy then step one room over for freshly made cookies, cupcakes, fudge, cheesecakes, DeBrand’s chocolates and much more.
