Courtney had a chance to sit down with her to talk about how this year will be as big as ever with artists of all kinds coming to the Century Center February 17 & 18. From painting to sculptures, music and more, there is something for every taste.
Courtney had a chance to meet Laurie Moore who is a Fine Artist that will be at the For the Love of Art Fair February 16 & 17 at the Century Center. She picked up her brushes years after art classes at school and found a passion in the details of portraits and other art work. She will have her work at her booth, but also loves to work with people on commission pieces.
Alan Larkin is a well known name in the local art community, and Dave had a chance to catch up with him at his home to find out more about the type of art he produces. Alan taught print making for a long time and also realism and pastels among other things. Alan will be at the For the Love of Art Fair on February 16 & 17 at the Century Center, so stop in to meet him and see his work.
This year Susan Ward is the featured artist at the For the Love of Art Fair. Courtney has a chance to hear how Susan had to put her art on a back burner because of life circumstances, but now has the chance to really focus on letting her art be her voice. Susan takes a unique approach to reusing things from the past to bring a new message. She does a variety of mediums including sculpture, print, and more. You can find her work at the Century Center on February 16 & 17 during the For the Love of Art Fair.
Martha Winenger is a lover of nature, and that comes through in her art. Courtney met her in her studio to see how Martha's paintings capture that nature so well. Besides painting on canvas Martha also paints on wood and rocks, which is what she has become known for. You can see Martha's works of art at the For the Love of Art Fair, February 16 & 17 at the Century Center.
