ChautauquaWawasee.orgTaps Across the Water at Dusk has become a favorite tradition in the Syracuse area. On May 28th at 9:08pm there will be a moment of silence followed by the playing of Taps by volunteer trumpeters spread around the three lakes: Syracuse Lake, Lake Wawasee, and Lake Papakeechie. It's a moving tribute to the service men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. If you don't live on any of the lakes there are public spots where you can go to experience this moving tradition. There is a map on their website: www.chautauquawawasee.org
