In an effort to honor and mourn military personnel who have died in the performance of their duties, Chautauqua-Wawasee and Syracuse American Legion Post #223 are presenting the 1st Annual Taps Across the Water at Dusk. Participating musicians will be stationed around the three area lakes and attempt to perform Taps in unison. If you don't live on one of the lakes there are public areas at which you can enjoy this event.

The Elkhart Civic Theatre will present a special concert at Wellfield Botanic Gardens on June 7th from 6-9pm. It's called Swingin' in the Gardens and it features the music of Colleen Williamson and Truth in Jazz. Colleen is an international cruise ship entertainer and Elkhart Civic Theatre alumna. May 29th & 30 will be the first of 5 weekends over the summer that you can experience a taste of over 40 venders from Chicago and the local region.
