Kelly visited a historic church in Pokagon, Michigan where the hymn “Old Rugged Cross” was finished being penned and was performed for the first time. The Kurt & Tessye Simon Foundation for Holocaust Remembrance sponsors an annual Student art competition. The Unity Gardens have been making healthy food available to the communities around them.

And speaking of performance, Kelly dusts off the violin to take part in performing the classic hymn.

    The Kurt & Tessye Simon Foundation for Holocaust Remembrance sponsors an annual Student art competition. "The People Next Door: Witnessing the Holocaust", is being hosted this year at the downtown Mishawaka Library. Each piece on display is inspired by the personal stories of Holocaust survivors who rebuilt their lives right here in Michiana. The artwork will be displayed at the downtown Mishawaka Library May 1-8, during regular library hours on the lower level.
