In the history of Dowagiac, Michigan there's something called the Orphan Train that brought kids from New York to Dowagiac looking for a new home in the 1800's and early 1900's. The schools in Dowagiac are teaching about that and 150 plus students are getting the opportunity to take a trip themselves to Chicago via train. For many it's the first time on a train and first time going to Chicago. To find out more about the organization that put this together go here: www.marp.org
