On tonight's show, Miss Indiana Mekayla Diehl is on the show to talk about what has happened and her plans after November. Then We take our cameras to the Snite Museum of Art to look at some classic cars. Gordy checks out popular chimp exhibit, at the Potawatomi Zoo. Finally We take our cameras to the Canal Days and Antique Car & Porsche Festival.
When Mekayla Diehl appeared at the Miss USA pageant back in June, she was one of 10 women elimated from the swimsuit round, because some people tweeted that she was too curvy and didn't have the ultra-slim look of a beauty queen. This became a national controversy about body image for young women. Hear what Mekayla has to say about it all, and what her plans are for the future after her reign is over in November. You can find her on Facebook for more information.
We take our cameras to the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame to look at some classic cars on loan for this special exhibit owned by Jack B. Smith, Jr. with the theme of the "Roaring Twenties". Gordy talks with Mr. Smith and car expert Vivian Lavine. These stylish automobiles are in beautiful condition and really are works of art, especially as seen in this exhibit at the Snite Museum. For details go to www.sniteartmuseum.nd.edu
