Episode #794 - Window on the West
The biggest art exhibit of the year is underway at the South Bend Museum of Art. It's called Window on the West, and it includes the first paintings and drawings by non-indigenous people as the west was explored for the first time. The museum has also partnered with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi for this exhibit, which goes through January. On November 16th, the museum playus host to an event called "The Rich Pokagon Culture" as members of the tribe will be doing drum and dance demonstrations, story telling and there will be native foods available for sampling. Joel Barrett tells us what to expect. For details go to www.southbendart.org
