Episode #447 - August 19th, 2020
We are always in search of programs and initiatives in the name of education that are best practices and able to be replicated and adapted. This week on Education Counts we feature Goodwill's 2nd Chance at Work program, a local program for adults that is helping bridge the gap between unemployed and gainfully employed. Purdue Polytechnic High School South Bend is giving students hands-on learning and skills through STEM projects and curriculum. HerMichiana spotlights education, training and resources that are available to women in need. The Lilly Endowment is helping preserve youth programs at risk of shuttering during the pandemic by supplying funding so the programs can make the impact they were designed for.
