Students learned about the history and future of HBCU schools. Fraternity and sorority members shared traditions and the rich experience of attending an HBCU.

The Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College is an open-access digital fabrication studio and collaborative workshop. Maker spaces like the Fab Lab offer students and the community opportunities to learn, create and innovate. A recent class learned how to make a 3d printer.

Career and Technical Education programs - also called career centers provide students with hands-on learning in a variety of fields. The Elkhart Area Career Center serves juniors and seniors from 12 area schools. Students finish the curriculum with college credits, accreditation and real world experience.
