Education Counts Michiana seeks to promote education inside and outside schools by highlighting programs and initiatives that are innovative and engaging. This week we spotlight four regional stories in education. We explore the value of teaching kindness and meet an author of a children's book about the gift of giving. The Wagon Wheel Conservatory is a place where students can learn about theater on stage and backstage. We speak to an expert about how to choose the right educational toy for a child. We watch architecture students at the University of Notre Dame participate in a hand drawing marathon and learn about the disappearing skill in the trade.
