    Proving it's never too late to learn something new, the Lunch and Learn Lecture series provides senior citizens the opportunity to learn about various topics that may concern them. Hosted at the Robinson Community Learning Center, speakers on topics ranging from hospital bills to Alzheimer's are brought in to present and teach.

    Cardinal Services is all about empowering people with disabilities or challenges and through its Redbird Art Studio ,they are doing this with art. This studio gives people with special needs the chance to express themselves with their artwork and even make money by selling their pieces. Some members of the Redbird Art Studios pieces have won awards and have made a huge impact on their community.

      This special episode highlights some of the best initiatives we've found this month. Join us for a look at teaching teachers hands on nature training, be introduced to the Dugout Dolls in Niles who are teaching female athletes skills for off the field and take a dive into 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, a parent child reading initiative presented by the St. Joseph County Public Library. We also have stories about how bouncy bands are helping kids expend energy while concentrating on desk work and how service dogs are trained to assist and for safety. We also talk about equipping students with autism with tools for success and how to become aware of your own biases and how that can present learning, teaching and working with others around us.
