Holiday Specials to Air on WNIT Public Television in December!
WNIT Public Television will keep your viewing plate full this December with a number of holiday specials!
PBS National will begin airing its holiday programming starting with “A Classic Christmas (My Music)” (Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 8pm). This great holiday musical will kick-off a great festive schedule that includes:
- “Christmas With the Tabernacle Choir” (Monday, Dec. 16 at 9pm)
- “Magic of Christmas in Alsace” (Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7:30pm)
- “Christmas at Belmont” airs Monday, December 23 at 9pm
- “St. Thomas Christmas: Comfort & Joy” at 10pm.
Holiday programming continues Christmas Day with “Lucy Worsley’s 12 Days of Tudor Christmas” (8pm & 10:30pm) and “Call the Midwife Holiday Special 2019” (9pm).
PBS Kids kicks off the Christmas season, beginning Monday, December 2, with
- “Wild Kratts: A Creature Christmas” (7am)
- “Nature Cat: A Nature Carol” (8am & 3pm),
- “Let’s Go Luna!: Luna’s Christmas Around the World” (9:30am & 2pm)
- “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas” (12pm)
- “Peg+Cat+Holidays” (1pm)
- “Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas” on Tuesday, December 3 (7am).
Local holiday programming begins Monday, December 16 at 10pm with “Purdue University 85th Anniversary Christmas Show” (encore presentation Dec. 24 at 10:30pm).
Thursday, December 19 continues the holiday shows with “Christmas at Loretto with the South Bend Chamber Singers,” a performance at St. Mary’s College, at 8pm (encore Dec. 24 at 7pm).
Friday, December 20 premieres this year’s “Notre Dame Glee Club & Symphony Concert” at 9pm (encore Dec. 24 at 7:30pm). Local holiday programming continues that evening with:
- “Andrews University Christmas Program” at 10pm (encore Dec. 24 at 8:30pm).
- “Goshen College: Festival of Carols” airs Tuesday, December 24 at 9:30pm (encore Dec. 25 at 7pm)
- “Wheaton College Christmas Festival: Messiah, Prince of Peace,” Tuesday, December 24 at 11:30pm.
Tune in to our very popular WNIT-2 channel (34.2), also available on Comcast channel 371, on Christmas Eve at 8pm with “Night Before Christmas Carol” followed by holiday favorites all day on Christmas Day until 7pm and local holiday favorites from 8:30pm until 11pm that evening.
