Education Counts this week features stories about seeing, saving, studying and searching. Kindness to Prevent Blindness provides prescription glasses to children at school to prepare them for learning. Project Impact provides financial literacy classes teaching students to help make their money work for them. Proteus is taking students from farm labor and placing them in professional internships to set them on career tracks in their desired field. Students at Cassopolis Public Schools are earning dual credit and certifications in high school.

This includes having a pair of prescription glasses for students who may not be able to see everything as clearly as they should. We explore a program geared towards making sure students get the proper eyewear for learning.
