South Bend, Indiana - On Tuesday, October 16, the Housing Authority of the City of South Bend will begin the state’s largest Income Qualified Weatherization Assessment effort in partnership with Energizing Indiana.

More than 300 public housing units are already scheduled to receive the free energy assessments, which make homes more energy efficient, improve living conditions and help residents save on energy costs. The effort is planned to eventually include nearly 3,000 South Bend families in public and Section 8 housing.
