This week find our how "Coffee With a Purpose" is a program through Jobs for Michigan's Graduates in getting real conversations started. The Applied Internship Program is a South Bend-Elkhart program teaching students about start-ups and entrepreneurship. The Merry Lea Summer session through Goshen College connects students to nature and gives teachers the tools the bring nature into their classrooms. Their mission is far beyond just putting them in the work place. It's their passion to help others learn how to provide a better living for themselves, and to teach them how to grow as valuable community members.

Pinter Remote Internships
Everything is changing these days, and both students and teachers are looking for ways to keep pushing forward. John Pinter of Pinter Consulting and Salsa Making, has taken on more than 10 University of Notre Dame students as interns for his company. Though they thought this summer internship would take place in person, their innovative tactics, has students working from as far as Panama.

Drew\'s Gift of Music
Drew Shearin was a very talented teen. He mastered multiple instruments, served as drum major for the Knox Redskin Brigade and reached the status of an award-winning composer teen, all by the age of 17. Unfortunately he was taken from us in the fall of 2011. However that hasn't stopped him from gifting us with the wonderful sounds of music. Drew's Gift of Music is an organization that provides instruments and training to rising musicians. This is a legacy that Drew started before his passing, because he wasn't just gifted, he was a gift giver.

Little Buck\'s Bookmobile
Little Buck's Bookmobile (with the help of volunteers), is bringing books to neighborhoods throughout the Buchanan area. They want to keep students reading throughout the summer to avoid the slump. Though you may think that this mobile book service is catered strictly to younger kids, they also have options for teens as well. They understand that not everyone has means to good books, so they are helping by bringing the library to them.

Translate for Toddlers
Translate for toddlers is much more than just teaching toddlers a new language.Though they offer translated books, translation workshops, and bilingual readings in Spanish and French, this IU South Bend based organization also benefits adults. By translating books and comics to different languages, these translators are not only refining their language skills, but they are also using their skills to translate other things as well. The mission for Translate for Toddlers is to not only spread the awareness of other countries cultures but also to inform us on their shared societal issues.

Learning a new skill has never been easier in our digital age. Lifelong Learning or Bendable, wants to make it even easier with their services. Partnered with the St. Joseph County Public Library, they are offering the community a database to learn whatever their heart's desire. This database is filled with links that lead to valuable content that can help you learn new trades, hobbies, tighten up on existing skills, or to even help you with homework.
