- 1 can (32 ounce-48 ounce) canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 jar (16 ounce) favorite tomato sauce
- 1 tbl. sugar
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp Mrs. Dash - original
Heat all the ingredients and season to taste with additional salt or pepper.
(may dilute with water if it simmers too long)
Add: 2 cups heavy cream
whisk until well blended
Top with shredded parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley.
May be served with garlic croutons.
