The Works Progress Administration (WPA) was an ambitious employment and infrastructure program created by President Roosevelt in 1935 putting people to work all over the country. There are many examples of the work done in St. Joseph County still around in area parks and Evie was at Kernan Park to meet up with Gary Harrington, the Property Manager and Naturalist at Rum Village Park. They talked about how these projects came about and how they still bring beauty to many of our recreation areas. #OutdoorElements
