The Annual Marine Mud Run 5K happens this Saturday at Marian High School in Mishawaka, and 1st Sgt. Sam Alameda gives us an overview of what to expect. People begin gathering early Saturday around 7am and wraps up around noon. Later that evening, there's a special concert at the same location featuring country artist Jason Michael Carroll. If you like apples, the 39th Annual Nappanee Apple Festival is for you. This family friendly event takes place Thursday, September 18th thru- Sunday, September 21st. Yes, once again Indiana's largest 7 foot baked apple pie will make around 800 slices of pie, and if you go early enough, you might get a slice! There are too many things to list, but activities include great entertainment on two stage, 130 craft vendors, 60 commercial vendors, carnival rides, apple baking and pie eating contests and much, much more.
